Advice for Brides-to-Be

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming.
“Where should we have it? Will I ever find the perfect dress? How many guests should we invite? Will my friends be offended if I only ask one of them to be a bridesmaid? What shall we serve? Oh gosh – I hope we’ll have enough drinks. What if my mum tries to take over? What if my partner’s mum takes over too? AAHHHH!”
Sounds familiar? Don’t fret – what you’re going through is completely normal and part of the process. We sat down with celebrity and TV host (and Marriage Celebrant) Erin Simpson who knows first hand what it’s like to plan a wedding. She’s married to The Bachelor New Zealand’s Zac Franich, after all.

We chat about what she’s most looking forward to on the day (aside from the obvious, of course!), advice for brides-to-be, and how she started planning the wedding. See the full video below.
Don’t forget the Spring Wedding Fair is happening this Saturday, November 9 2019 at Wright’s Watergardens Weddings and Events Centre from 11 am – 3 pm.
Meet potential vendors who can make your day extra special, enjoy a walk through the gardens, and spend the day planning the wedding of your dreams.

I read this post about advice for brides-to-be and found it quite insightful because it brings together practical and emotional guidance for planning a wedding while managing stress, expectations, and personal confidence. The article highlights the importance of preparation, from skincare and outfit trials to budgeting, organisation, and choosing the right suppliers, while also reminding brides to stay present and enjoy the experience rather than focusing only on perfection. It also demonstrates how weddings are not just about one day of celebration, but about careful planning, communication, and decision-making that reflect personal values and priorities. Overall, the post provides a meaningful perspective on how balance, preparation, and self-awareness can help create a more enjoyable and memorable wedding journey. Sentence Starters…
